Wild Foods of Mount Cameroon

In Cameroon, the Cultural Landscapes of Mt Cameroon program works with the NGO Forests, Resources and People, the Limbe Botanic Garden, the University of Buea, the NGO Wildflower Foundation, and others. The work builds upon decades of ethnobotanical and other research, and is both a sharing of research results with communities and others, and a way to strengthen traditional knowledge and management practices, which are under severe threat. Expansion of agriculture, land grabs and sales by local communities, civil unrest and other factors mean that life within the Bakweri villages on Mt Cameroon where we work has changed dramatically over the last 30 years.
